Self Acceptance and Society/Fat Acceptance
Self acceptance is loving and appreciating yourself even if there are things you'd eventually like to change. Fat acceptance or society acceptance is getting society as a whole to accept that we have the same rights as everyone else and to reduce prejudice within the community.

Reboot Your Wellness Goals This Spring
I have decided that I love spring more than I love fall and I have proclaimed fall as my most favorite time of year since I was a little kid jumping in piles of leaves and relishing in the cool crisp smell of autumn. But as I grow older, I realize that spring holds so much more promise for me and plays a key role in reigniting my spirit and my well-being.
Spring has become almost a New Year's reboot for me when the weather starts to warm up. I start to feel energetic and start considering the goals and resolutions I made earlier in the year. You know-the ones I still haven't gotten started on.
And so I begin again. What will I promise myself to do this spring? Exercise, eat more healthfully, walk more, plant a garden, get out in the sunshine? Spring is truly my time for a wellness re-boot. I hope you will join me in doing these things, too.
Spring is inherently energizing and positive so I'm going to try to soak in as much fresh air as I can to get myself back on track-physically and emotionally. As the new buds are popping out on the tree-lined streets and flowers are blooming all around me, I can't help but feel positive to do something that winter has held me back on-getting moving and feeling great! I have every confidence that spring is sure to help me focus and dedicate myself to new health goals and a greater sense of well-being.
I look at spring as the perfect time to re-boot. It holds great promise for us to start and accomplish all those life-changing things we said we were going to do on New Year's Day. I say we shouldn't beat ourselves up about not getting to all our resolutions. We can just re-evaluate and implement them this spring. It's perfect timing!
On my list this spring: sitting on the front porch and reading more, iced tea, wine, salads, walking, yoga. Breathe in, breathe out. What's on your list?
I'm so thrilled that spring is finally (almost) here! When it does fully arrive, it's time to start anew, breathe in the fresh air and sunshine and do something amazing for yourself. Start with the promise of spring-and the promise of you. You're the only one who can make it happen-with a beautiful and uplifting season.
