Toddler Grandma Style by Cynara Geissler
Growing up female, of course, comes with its own dress code. Society has sort of defined what's right for smart adult women and what's not.
In the professional world, grown women are expected to wear neutrals, high heels and suit jackets to look the part. Even if you're still a rockstar within, as a professional, it's just easier to fit in and look a certain way.
Cynara Geissler is a 33 year old author and marketing manager who decided to break the mold and create a personal style which she calls the "Toddler Grandma Style".
Toddler Grandma Style debunks the myth that women of a certain age should dress a certain way and for anyone other than themselves. The style embraces dressing up as colourful as a toddler by wearing prints and onesies, and feeling unjudged, regardless of where you are or who is around.
Her reason is toddlers and elderly women stand outside the gaze of men anyways, and society does not demand strict rules of dressing from them, definitely not for Cynara! Geissler believes dressing should be fun and exciting, and at no age does one have to outgrow wearing colours.
In her own words, "Toddler Grandma Style has a message, and it's, 'Boys, this isn't about you.'"
The journey to adopt the Toddler Grandma Style will definitely be met with both pleasant and unpleasant experiences, she warns.
To find what will look good on you, spend time trying on new stuff - clothes rarely look the same when you image them and when you wear them! Have an open mind, open up and be willing to explore.
The aim of the Toddle Grandma Style is to dress like the toddler you were and the grandma you are likely to become.
What do you think about the Toddler Grandma Style?
Here's some easy-step ideas you can try to start:
- Pair up sneakers with a dress
- Wear bows on your head
- Get that haircut you've always wanted.
At the base of it all, Toddler Grandma Style is about: doing what makes you happy and having lots of fun along the way.

Fat Positive Blogs
Blogs are a wonderful source of information. I have found them to be a useful Fat resource, especially when it comes to body positivity and fatshion. It is so helpful to see what clothes look like on bodies that are shaped like ours. It is also helpful to know that there are others out there who have the same life struggles that we have. You might get a different perspective on how to deal with things, based on the experiences of others.
I recently joined a group of plus size bloggers. We are taking one fashion topic a month and doing a blog hop. Our first topic was leggings. We all did a blog about it, linked our blogs, and published them at the same time. It is so great to see the many different ways an item can be worn on a fat person, from smaller plus to super plus.
Here is a link to my blog. In it, you will find the links to all the other blogs.
