SSBBW / FA Quote of the Moment

"An SSBBW knows what it is like to NOT be "average". To me, this is extremely important for development of a mature personality. It is a necessity for understanding other people that you truly comprehend what it is like to be "different". Fat women know this. They experience it every day. That fact alone makes them richer people with a mind that is more open than "average", simply because it forces them to view things from a different paradigm than "average"." ~ Mogens (BC, Canada) [FA]

FAs (Fat Admirers) and their views, thoughts and issues

What is is like being an FA in today's society. What are the joys of living/being with an SSBBW. Are there drawbacks? Let us know at

We are looking for more FAs that want to share their views of being an FA in today's society, share stories or just want to be profiled. Please email us if you are interested! As well we'd really like to hear from FAs about loving a large woman in today's society.

I feel fortunate and grateful that I am a FA. That I can see how we all contribute to society in constructive ways. That we all have strengths, have beauty and individual talents and abilities. Everyone deserves to live a life where they feel accepted and respected, but todays society is driven in many ways by these constructed visions of what is beautiful. If you don't fit into this box or that box then there is something wrong. This is especially true when it comes to size and all the socially constructed myths and negativity around this subject. For me being a FA lets me into a whole other world of beauty and happiness. I feel like I am part of an exclusive club that gets it. My admiration for SSBBW and BBW woman has put me in contact with some of the most amazing women. Strong women, women who are open minded, who are fantastically capable and of course much more physically attractive... There is no question there. :)
