Baby, it's cold outside!
It seems I have encountered a few plus size women lately who have had a hard time finding clothes for the colder temps. Socks, boots, and jackets can be hard to come by for larger bodies. I can and do wear flip flops year round in Texas. That isn't a viable option in many other parts of the country. Let me see if can help!
Sock Dreams (http://www.sockdreams.com/products/socks/plus-sized) offers some plus size sock options. Depending on the size of your leg, the Extraordinary Striped Thigh Highs will become knee highs. They work well for larger legs. Plus, they are a nice thickness and keep your legs/feet warm.
Catherines ( http://catherines.lanebryant.com/ ) has tights in store that go up to 7x. They do have lots of stretch and will work beyond the size chart.
SimplyBe/Marisota (http://www.simplybe.com) offers many tall shaft boots in sizes up to 12EEEEE, with standard to extra curvy plus calf width offerings. These boots are usually a manmade material, so probably not waterproof, but will keep your feet/legs warm. Every boot has a link to a size chart. Please review the size chart. I know women with calves in the 24+ range who have found boots here. Sign up for coupons. They always have sales and specials! Torrid, Lane Bryant, and Payless also have wide calf boots, as well.
The best selection and size range for coats is probably http://www.onestopplus.com. The have a great assortment and offers things in the super plus range.
Woman Within currently has a trench on clearance for $4.99. It is in a few sizes, including 4x (34-36).
I hope you can stay warm this winter!

Fat Positive Blogs
Blogs are a wonderful source of information. I have found them to be a useful Fat resource, especially when it comes to body positivity and fatshion. It is so helpful to see what clothes look like on bodies that are shaped like ours. It is also helpful to know that there are others out there who have the same life struggles that we have. You might get a different perspective on how to deal with things, based on the experiences of others. SSBBW mag has a blog section. If you haven't checked it out, you should! SSBBW Magazine Blogs
I recently joined a group of plus size bloggers. We are taking one fashion topic a month and doing a blog hop. Our first topic was leggings. We all did a blog about it, linked our blogs, and published them at the same time. It is so great to see the many different ways an item can be worn on a fat person, from smaller plus to super plus.
Here is a link to my blog. In it, you will find the links to all the other blogs.
Here is a list of some fat positive blogs that might help you on your journey:
I know there are plenty more. I would love to hear about blogs you visit on a regular basis! Email me! <3
