This is my second installment of real products that real women use! I asked a few of my plus size friends to share some of their beauty secrets with me. I wanted products that real women use, whether they apply to being bigger or not. If you, the reader, have any things that you can’t live without, that help you feel and look your best, I would love to hear about them! Please email me at: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Gina has the best looking hair in the world. She has long (she calls it short because she recently got it cut), dark, shiny hair. Hair that looks so soft and touchable, you want to run your fingers through it. Her secret? Gina said “Well you know how much I love my hair, but I don't like putting a lot of product in it either. So the one thing I can't live without would have to be Fructis Sleek & Shine Smoothing Milk. Excellent to keep the frizz & flyaways at bay and helps give my hair a sleek look without the use of flatiron.”. My hair is board straight, but not as silky as Gina’s. I want to try this product for that reason: luxurious hair!!! I did a search online and it looks like it is around $4 for a 5.1 oz bottle.
Shawn has great skin. Her face doesn’t look like there is a blemish, dark spot, or wrinkle! Shawn said about her must have product “I can't live without my Revlon Color Stay Foundation. I get hot so easy and sweat, so this foundation is perfect for me. It doesn't sweat off and it also gives good coverage for my blotchy red face. Love, Love, Love it!”. Shawn uses the liquid version. It also comes in mineral form. My search for the liquid foundation turned up prices around $10 for 1. oz bottle.
As for me, I have never been one to get compliments on my long and full lashes. Mine are barely there, at best. This mascara changed my life. Changed my life! That is a lot to put on mascara. Believe me, I searched high and low…bought inexpensive stuff, bought expensive stuff. Nothing I have used or tried compares to Covergirl Lashblast Mascara. The ease in which it goes on, the ease in which it comes off, and I don’t end up with it under/around my eyes when I wear it all day. It dries pretty quickly and lasts. It extends my lashes and makes them appear fuller. One coat works great for a more natural/everyday look. When I want a little more va-va-voom, I will let the first layer dry and then add another layer. The price of this mascara is somewhere around $8. I usually wait until I find a buy one/get one half off sale at Walgreen’s/Ulta/CVS. Then I pick up the regular and the waterproof. I prefer the regular. While I do use the waterproof, it is indeed waterproof. It requires make-up remover to get it off my lashes. But it is great for a super hot day or time spent in/around the water.
