Hey there everyone. I'm Gabby and I'm going to be taking your questions now. I hope I can be of help to all you amazing readers, so please don't hesitate to let me know what is bothering you.
Now keep sendin' in those letters to me at firstname.lastname@example.org and make sure you mark it Attention: Dear Gabby.
We're going to do something a bit different this month. I have alot of people asking about what I think of gastric surgery. Am I for or against it? For everyone or just those of us who are at least 100-150lbs overweight? So I am going to tell you what I think and I'm hoping you wonderful readers will let me know your thoughts and feelings on our forums!!
I think the surgery is a wonderful thing IF you have seriously tried all sensible eating plans, along with whatever exercise you can manage (we can all do something even if chair bound or bed bound) and are completely honest with yourself about your state of mind and eating habits. Then, I believe, you have exhausted everything and this is your only hope of being healthier, smaller and hopefully happier.
None of us who are severely overweight are truly happy (I don't care how many times I hear someone say "I love my weight" they are not fooling anyone not even themselves).
We all deserve to be happy and if this is the last thing to try then I pray it works for you. The surgery is only the beginning. It is a whole new way of life and there will be adjustments. The old mind sets however will still be there so you have to be ready emotionally and physically. It is surgery and not to be taken lightly. My fear is that it is becoming the new "in" thing to do.
So, there you have it. My take in a few short paragraphs. I'd like to write more but they only give me so much room to have my say. Please feel free to respond and have your say. Whether you agree or disagree, it's all good.
We all deserve to be happy. How we achieve that is up to us and no one else.
See you next month and happy thanksgiving to our Canadian readers and have a spooktacular Halloween!!
Take care, Love, Gabby
