Welcome to SSBBW Magazine
An online magazine for SSBBWs and written by SSBBWs.
As SSBBWs we need to realize that our size does not make us second-class citizens! We are mothers, sisters, daughters, wives, girlfriends, teachers, doctors, lawyers; we are everywhere and we make differences in the lives of the people around us. It is our mission to build a support system for super-sized women everywhere.
With each issue, we plan to offer educational and entertaining articles, inspiration, motivation, advice, super-size clothing sources, recipes, tips on how to cope with our size, and so much more. We even have a section dedicated to FAs written by FAs and a forum for keeping in touch with our new friends.
We would like to thank you for your support and wonderful comments. We are continually striving to make this magazine better and to offer the best information, advice, and inspiration to you.
IN THIS ISSUE....
WE'RE ONE YEAR OLD!!!!
Yes, it's our birthday. One year ago this month SSBBW Magazine made it's debut. Thank you to everyone who has made this a wonderful year for us and we are looking forward to another great year ahead of us.
This month we celebrate Valentine's Day and Pancake Day. So grab some chocolate and a stack of pancakes and have a good stay with us.
February 2nd is also Groundhog Day. In weather lore, if a groundhog emerges from its burrow on this day and fails to see its shadow because the weather is cloudy, winter will soon end. If the groundhog sees its shadow, it will return into its burrow, and the winter will continue for 6 more weeks. Let hope winter will soon be behind us.
We have a double set of recipes in our Recipe section to cover Valentine's Day and Pancake Day.
Learn the origins and traditions of Pancake Day in our Health/Fitness section.
In the SSBBW World section we have a special true Valentine's story about an SSBBW who found love and got married just last month.
Read a great article about Nikki Blonsky, the BBW star of "Hairspray" in our entertainment section.
Get steamy and sexy in great lingerie in our fashion/beauty section.
See a new diet tip each day of the month in our Health/Fitness section. So be sure to check this out every day.
Spice Up Your Diet with International Flair in our Health/Fitness section.
We've got a new logo! (see left side bar). Let us know what you think about it or anything else about our magazine by clicking here.
We started a new section called Letters to the Editor where we will share some of the comments we've received from readers.
Another new feature this month is our "Funny Quote of the Day" so be sure to keep coming back to the Funny Bone.
And a whole lot more!!
Please stop by for a while and peruse our pages. Visit our forums and join in the discussions. We have a board For Females Only where you can discuss sensitive and intimate issues. Only registered forum members who email us for access to this board will be able to read and join this forum.
As always, this magazine is for you and by you. We are always looking for input from our readers, both SSBBWs and FAs. If you have suggestions, comments or want to see something specific let us know. And if you have something to say that you want our readers to see, send it in. Whether it's about your favorite store for clothes, a great book, poem or movie you want to review for us, whether you have something to say about acceptance or weightloss or just have a story to tell, please feel free to contact us.
So sit back, grab a coffee and enjoy your stay.
