Self Acceptance and Society/Fat Acceptance


Self acceptance is loving and appreciating yourself even if there are things you'd eventually like to change. Fat acceptance or society acceptance is getting society as a whole to accept that we have the same rights has everyone else and to reduce prejudice within the community.

Have a Stress Free Holiday Season

The festive season is upon us. And even though it's all over in a matter of days we spend months planning for it. The stress of planning and paying for the season can get to even the calmest of people at this time of year.

Budget

Too many people spend too much and end up paying it off for the rest of the year. You know it's coming, it comes every year at the same time. Plan for it in advance and start putting money away for it.

Shop Online

If crowds bother you or walking through parking lots and large malls is too much for your body to handle, you can purchase everything online these days and get it delivered right to your door. Don't forget to shop around online for the best deals and keep an eye on shipping costs and if purchasing from another country check out any custom fees you may have to pay. And make sure you order early enough to get them delivered on time!

If you are going to the malls, make a list before you go. If you wait for inspiration to strike, you could be wandering aimlessly for hours. Buy a few extras, such as chocolates (don't eat them!) in case you forget someone or for unexpected guests. Try to do your shopping early before the mad rush. Take advantage of the gift wrapping tables most malls set up.

Cooking

Having family and friends all together is not the time to try out new recipes. Use your tried and true recipes so you don't have any disasters. Make sure you keep something in the freezer for emergencies or unexpected guests.

Grocery stores do alot of sales during the month of December so plan out your meals in advance, make a list and check sales each week.

Don't do all the cooking yourself. Try to delegate some tasks. Keep it simple.

And finally....

Don't forget it's the thought that counts, not how much you spend or stress.
